Switch Pro controller for most things, including a lot of things that dont support controllers.

Due primarily to the nerve/tendon issues in my arm/shoulder. Getting better, but still there.

The trouble of course is using it for games that absolutely are not designed for a controller. Many of those require a screwy "emulation" setup where the controller acts as the mouse and some keyboard keys. And also certain entire genres arent meant for this. The biggest one is fighting games. I am *very* good at those but am endlessly playing with a handicap since I cant use a stick.

But also, I'd really like to be able to play my arcade games with a stick. And shmups, those are also not designed for a normal controller.

I will say though, it's a pretty great controller. Nintendo did a spectacular job with it. And a big thank you to Steam and Valve for supporting it.

There are a few games I play with keyboard & mouse though, which are typically turn-based roguelikes. But even then, a few of them are done with the controller too.

I hate to be the debbie downer here but I voted for "I dislike video games." The majority of my day is spent outdoors, usually. I don't do a lot of stuff inside the house (that includes no TV.)

There's nothing wrong with playing video games or liking them, to clarify. I just don't enjoy them and I find them confusing, frustrating, and it's hard for me to wrap my head around fantasy stuff (I don't like movies either.)

So there's something wrong with me, not the people who like video games, lol. I think I would probably have an easier time meeting people with similar interests if I was part of a fandom or something, but that part of my brain is "broken."

For me games is what computers are really all about. What got me in to programming was getting frustrated with a game and editing it to throw myself a cheat. You can't do that on a console.

Some games are much better on a controller than a keyboard but they tend to be the sorts of games I'm not really interested in. I don't enjoy first person shooters or racing games, I'm mostly in to war strategy games which also usually play better on the keyboard.

I mostly play my Nintendo Switch in Handheld mode and rarely use my Pro Controller to play any games. I only use motion controls for certain sections of Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword, Super Mario Party, and Ring Fit Adventure with the latter two requiring it.

I don't play, but I think I would enjoy it. I just never understood how to go about it. I would need a how you play games 101 and a Which ones to play 101. Plus a how you get them onto Yr computer 101. And maybe a few other 101s to cover aspects of the situation I don't even know I need to know. 64 may be too late to start I guess.
