Hi guys!

Hope you are doing well

Just wanted to open a thead in which we can all share our favorite software screenshots. If it's done before please direct me there and I'll delete this.

It can be gaming, tech related, software related, funny bugs, anything related to computers, gaming, etc.

I'll start, this is Ana Rosei (so far) my kids picked the class and the name and I tweaked her a little with the armor and helmet, not sure if I'll do twin katanas or hookclaws. The game is Elden Ring which is my least favorite from software game

Most things I have are indie games and the screenshots of them tend to look rather confusing, but I do have this one:

This is from the PC version of Returnal. In it, our plucky heroine here has a really, really bad day. Over and over.

This screenshot is immediately before one of the loopier boss fights.

Back in 2012 I hit upon a golden era of modding the hell out of Skyrim and I was thoroughly lost in a magical world.

Reminds me of Dead Space @Misery

I also like some indie games like blasphemous, binding of Isaac, atomicrops, vampire survivors

just to mention a few I can remember

Here are a few from Kerbal Space Program:

This was my first semi-successful moon landing. Or what was left of the lander.

This was the very first rover I ever landed successfully on the moon

And this one has an interesting story. I was trying to find the Neil Armstrong memorial on the moon, so rather than spend ages driving around a rover trying to find it, I added a camera mod, put a camera on a satellite, put the satellite into orbit around the moon and searched for it that way!

Why just games, can't it be achievements also done somewhere else, like cool temps, a glitch in Blender or other software, Low ram usage, etc

Funny thing is, the two games couldnt be further apart in what they are.

Dead Space is very traditional survival horror, Returnal is actually a bullet-hell roguelike + third person shooter, with a cosmic horror theme. It is extremely fast paced and involves a lot of leaping around and dodging stuff. It's also REALLY weird. The whole game (the gameplay, setting, and story) is just off-the-wall bonkers.

A couple more shots:

The first two are a couple of the bosses in the game, and the third one is from a story scene (though it's not a cutscene). The funny thing is, the third screenshot is the horrifying one, not the first two, considering what's actually happening there.

It's one of those games that I personally think is spectacular, but I wouldnt recommend it to just anyone. Being a roguelike, the difficulty is extremely high, and you absolutely are sent back to the start if you get destroyed. Also, it's one of those games where the story is very hard to understand. Really freaking disturbing once you do figure out what it all is.

Oh yeah, Vampire Survivors is just excellent. Spawned a whole genre, that one did. If you like that, I highly suggest checking out Army of Ruin, I picked that up recently and I just adore it.

If you like Atomicrops, maybe check out Voidigo.

Thank you for the suggestions! That game in the screenshots seems interesting enough, I'll check it out.

I remembered I had these on an old hard drive. Here are a few weird ones from GTA San Andreas on PS2 that I took waaaay back around 2005. There was an in game camera and it saved jpegs to the memory card. To get the photos from the memory card onto a PC, I used an action replay cheat disk with a memory card management utility and a USB stick, then a PS2 save file utility on PC.

I used an action replay code that let the player recruit anyone as a gang member and they behaved exactly like the Grove Street gangsters. I used to head to the army base, recruit 3 soldiers and drive around in a Humvee and take pictures of our exploits.

Then there was the Bigfoot myth. I took these pictures to try to convince people that Bigfoot was actually in the game. It was just the top of a tree sticking out over the top of a hill, but at the right angle I thought it could look like Bigfoot!

Ah yes, I remember the bigfoot legend, there were even modded videos and I think a cracked.com article about it

Why not this thread?
Well, if you have anything interesting to share do so

Let's make this a general tech and gaming screenshot thread, that way we can all share something

Also, it doesn't matter if it's something you created on Minecraft or a good deal of cards from solitaire, a bug or a code you wrote

Everything tech and gaming related is welcome

does it have to be about killing, death ?

Certainly not. I'll show some non-violent examples:

This is Wingspan, a digital version of a board game by the same name. It is gorgeous and atmospheric and everything is animated. It's all about building and maintaining a bird habitat area and attracting birds to it. This game is super popular among board game players, so that's why it has a digital release:

This next one is Factory Town, it's... well, it's a factory game. Like Factorio or Satisfactory but there's a lack of inexplicable giant bug monsters (granted, you can turn those off in Factorio). In this one, the factory is also a town sort of, in a strange fantasy world.

There's all sorts of non-violent games. It just depends on what the player is after.

Yes, that game had so many legends like that. There was also the panopticon psycho myth and I also managed to "prove" that as well! I provoked a pedestrian at the nearest town, got him to follow me all the way to the logging camp where the legend supposedly was and took some pics!

I also went hunting for some of Rockstars' Easter Eggs that they love to put in their games, but I couldn't find any...
