Glow products shortage?

With Halloween almost here, has anyone had issues buying glow products this year? Luckily I stocked up on pink glow wands from Dollar Tree earlier this year and ordered some pink glow necklaces and wristbands in bulk from Amazon.

I was in Dollar Tree this past weekend and they were almost totally out of glow products. Also, the Amazon seller that I ordered the necklaces from is now out of all colors.

Is anyone else having issues finding glow products this year? Not just pink ones, but every color seems to be in short supply. Dollar stores are out, and Amazon mostly is left with 100-packs in the case of necklaces.

A few years ago my dog got hold of one and bit into it. I got it away but his mouth glowed for a while. I haven't gotten any since.
Oh, yeah, except last year when I got one to use to put inside a toilet paper roll that I had cut eyes into. I put the glow stick inside to look like eyes and put it in my sons window. :)

If you can find zinc sulfide powder*, the powder can be mixed with anything like glue or liquids for example. It will cause a chemical reaction so that it will glow, it does not fade out and stop working as glow sticks do. It can be used over and over.

It's non-toxic, just keep it away from from your face and neck. Tonic water is also safe, and glows under a black light.

*It is commonly used as a white pigment. Detector of alpha-rays, which render it luminescent. Infrared optics. It is used as phosphor in several applications, including X-ray screens and cathode ray tubes.

Also:
Luminescent Zinc Sulfide is zinc sulfide containing a copper activator. In cosmetics and personal care products, Luminescent Zinc Sulfide functions as a colorant , and is permitted for use only in products intended for occasional use.
