Two years ago, a psychotherapist assisted me at a late age in discovering i was on the spectrum of Aspergers. What a shock and revelation. For so long I thought I was right and others were not getting it, and then I said maybe i was wrong. It reminded me of the old Twilight Zone Television show episode,The Eye of the Beholder. I was the bandaged person.
I have looked at posts on this site occasionally for two years. Tonight someone posted about "time" and that hit a chord with me. I liked Mia's post about how after retiring she could read and retreat to a quite place.
For the original person who posted about time it is different for me. I believe we have a better understanding of what can be accomplished in the allotted time. This may involve making decisions of what can be done now and what should be left for another time. NT's seem to overextend themselves.
I am a new member and glad to join your ranks. I thank you for your posts, candor and insight and letting me and others who have not joined yet know how you feel.
We are not alone, just quiet in the night.
