First off, wonderful site here!

Secondly, I'm grateful to be here and happening to stumble upon this forum. Given that I suffer from Asperger's Syndrome, I've been coping with it for my whole life, though it took about four years from now to actually discover what exactly was wrong with me, for I've always known I've been pretty different. While I may be self-diagnosed, it's pretty much fact. But getting off of that for now, I'm just a simple guy who loves video games and generally interested in the field of computer science (despite not taking up college education just yet). I love to craft/build or other things you may consider as "art".

So keeping it short and simple, that's just me in a nutshell. Feel free to ask more about me anytime and once again, thanks for having me!

Hi Nick

Welcome. You say you're in to art; I like to draw, mostly creatures, like dragons and stuff, and I do a bit of Photoshop stuff. What kind of art do you do? I'm also in to games, though I don't play as much as I used to. Currently in to Assassins Creeds latest game :)

See you around :)

Welcome to aspiescentral Nick. You sound like you're doing pretty well for someone who was undiagnosed for so long. You will find many here who share your interests and understand the struggles you face as an Aspie. They are a great group of people.

Thank you all for your friendly welcomes! =)

Oh, I love to draw too (I haven't been doing so in a while though)! I mostly like to draw original fictional characters or draw other people's original or fanmade characters if people are interested in my work when I'd show it to them. I'm not exactly an expert and I do it for fun. Though due to my lack of things to draw lately, my skills (if you could call it skill by looking at my work ^^; ) may have gone rusty. I draw on real paper and pencil, but I scan it and use GIMP to edit off the paper and other bits on the page so it looks like something drawn on a computer or tablet (not perfectly, but enough to make the image VERY clear). I also use the program to color. =)

And I've played the first Assassins Creed game! It's pretty fun. I'm a pretty hardcore gamer. Lately, I've been playing Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge and also some recorded playthroughs of other games I upload on YouTube.

Hah, well to be honest, I've just recently come to terms with being under the spectrum. When I first discovered I suffered from all of the common symptoms (which was about over four years ago), I didn't know what to do with myself since it was a big confirmation on how things were during my childhood, but I was in much denial as much as my family members still are. But it's great to know you all are very supportive!

Nice :)

Haven't heard of those games before. Will have to look in to them. I'm pretty in to AC, so have played them all :p I also draw on paper, then scan it in to Photoshop to colour, though I desperately need an updated version. Mine's an old limited edition (which apparently is limited in its capabilities, haha!)

Welcome Nick

Another computer programe you can try is paintnet. it falls between microsoft and gimp, and is free. I use it for my boat design work. I use a surface modeling program then trace over it in paintnet using different layers for each aspect I am working on.

@Vanilla: Yes, if you love AC, I think you'll like Ninja Gaiden too! And I'm glad we both share interest in art. I'd love to see some of your work one day!

@Warwick C: Thank you! And I've heard about paintnet, but never gave it a try. I'll definitely have to give it a shot once I get back into drawing again. =)

Nice, will definitely need to try it then :D

Here's a dragon I drew, and coloured in with colouring in pencils :) you'll have to show me your stuff too

Oh, wow! That is WAY better than anything I can draw! That's an extremely detailed piece of work. I can pull something from my Imageshack real quick. The first one lacks color at the moment, but the second is a finished work, as the female is a character belong to a friend. They're not all that great, but I had fun drawing them.
