I have close friends who are very active in their social communities, having all sorts of connections with others. Exploring kinky communities and having a blast at it.

The only thing keeping me out of this situation for myself is a lack of personal transportation.

OK, I know I need to learn how to drive a car. And I will learn how to drive a car. For now, I am happy for my friends and jelly of them at the same time.

Me too. My friend has the most beautiful cat, and a great job. But l totally support her. But we live in different states. We always went out and laughed so hard. I hope she moves here one day.

I am glad for you that's all that's stopping you, you seem quite sociable, whereas having a car wouldn't help me much unless it was a specially adapted social support car that knew how to navigate unstructured social interaction.

I learnt to drive, so I think it's not too hard, as I tend to be rubbish at anything practical and/or requiring dexterity. However I don't drive as my partner is great at it and I don't enjoy it. I also get the bus, but I know that's not much of an option where you are. Hope you can nab a vehicle soon.

Yeah, the general lack of public transportation in the area I reside in does suck. I could save up for Ubers for meetups, but in the long run, learning to drive myself and getting a car might be less expensive when I think of the larger picture. It is not just meetups I am missing out on. It is also concerts, movies, and restaurants. Plus if I had a car, I could stop relying on Instacart for grocery delivery and I could stop paying those delivery fees.

Having a car is initially expensive but does pay off financially (If you don't live downtown in an urban city with all your needs) and quality of life in the US usually. Driving school is expensive but a good way to learn too. Best wishes.
