Has anyone seen Mary Terry?

Severe tornados ripped through much of central/midwest America yesterday. I think Mary Terry lives within that area. Has anyone heard from her? I am praying she and her family are all okay.

It looks like she was here at 1:04pm EST on Saturday.

Hopefully, if anything, it's nothing more than a power outage.

I'm alive and well! Love y'all for thinking of me! Yes, it was scary, and I could hear trees breaking and falling during the height of the wind, but we're used to it. I live in the land of violent weather.

We have been preoccupied with the sheriff department's search for a wanted fugitive who has been squatting with a woman and their baby on someone's land. He moved a trailer with a generator there without permission. When law enforcement tried to serve an arrest warrant on him for an outstanding DUI arrest warrant and criminal trespass last week, he fled into the woods. Neighbors keep seeing him on game cameras. $2500 reward has been posted on CrimeStoppers. I wonder how he managed in the woods during the tornadoes. Law enforcement has removed his truck and trailer from the property and taken the infant into custody. Husband keeps checking his game cameras for sightings. Just because it's rural here, doesn't mean it's boring!

I am glad to hear that you are ok and hope that they catch the fugitive soon. Stay safe.

Does he have to go out to them, or can he do that remotely?

Remotely. He has an app on his cell phone that alerts him when movement is detected. Sometimes he retrieves the cameras from the woods and downloads pictures, mostly of deer, possums, raccoons and the occasional bobcat which is super cool because they almost became extinct here. We also have some black bears and wild boars around but he hasn't gotten any of those.

We also have foxes and coyotes which he sometimes gets photos of. I love the foxes but don't care for the coyotes.

Squatters here get shot and killed. Property owners take no prisoners and criminal juries will back them up. A prosecutor's nightmare for open murder charges.

Just the way it is in the Wild West.

Mississippi just passed a much stronger law to help landowners remove squatters from land. All you have to do is fill out an affidavit at the sheriff's office and they will arrest the offender within 24 hours if they can be found. Once arrested, the offender has 24 hours to prove he/she is not trespassing. They aren't playing around with these parasites. The old law of criminal trespass was too slow and cumbersome.

I’m so glad to hear you are okay and hope the fugitive is found and returned to wherever he came from.
