Having Emotocons... In an Aspy Online Community? Droll.

I think one of my great ambitions in life is to become so famous that the need for introductions will become unnecessary and save me from embarrassment.

If you read my profile you'll see I've not identified myself by my diagnosis. I had a teacher who once told me, "[Brick], you should never lead off with the exceptionality but simply say 'Hello...' and then ask the other person a situational question that would require a long descriptive answer."

"Hello, and how did you come to be at this particular rest stop on the interstate?" "Hi, if you were going to make dip for a party, what dip would you make and why?"

I don't know exactly why I joined this forum. Most of the time when I think of support groups, I think of people complaining about things they can't do. Dating Sites: "I can't find a man who can see through to my inner beauty." Writer's Forums: "WHY WON"T THEY PUBLISH MY NOVEL, DAMN IT I'M GOOD!!!" Otherwise they're trying to soapbox and pose. Political Forums: "You're wrong and here's why..." Kleptomaniacs Anonymous: "Sure it was just a bag of bath products a Target, but I felt so alive!"

Anyway, I'm new and saying "hi" as the topic header says... :geek:

Welcome Brick!

I was going to say "Hello, and how did you come to be at this particular forum on the internet?" But you already answered that you don't exactly know.

So, If you were going to make a dip for a party...just kidding.

I hope you like the forum and I look forward to reading more of your posts, as you seem well versed and have a sense of humor. Also, I'm glad I'm not the only one who has questioned the emotocon/Aspie thing.:wtf: Don't get me wrong, I like playing with the emotocons, but sometimes feel I take way too long trying to decide which one is best.

Guacamole. Because it seems easy... but the trick is to get ripe and flavourful avocadoes and to get just the right combination of sour cream, lemon, chilli and avocado. Get it right and you can spend the whole party telling people how to make the perfect guacamole.

Maybe we need them more than anybody.
Hey, we could use them in real life. carry around sheets of paper with emoticons and hold the appropriate one in front of your face.

Hi...Welcome to the forum. Heh there are actually emotion flashcards for people to express themselves. So welcome i hope you enjoy our site.:)
