Hello everyone,

I'm 30 years old just finding out for the first time in my life after a diagnosis that I have Aspergers.

Not sure if my situation in unique after all I find more people are alike then different but my entire adult life I was able to fool people for a little while there is nothing wrong with me.

My voice after doing years of customer service sounds like a professional "radio voice" and when I enter in a new job people think I'm on the fast track towards management or like this job they thought they are on undercover boss.

From what I read I am not alone in this part the feeling that you just have all around bad luck.

I'm from Chicago still there sort of looking or help and what not cause my life is sort of a mess don't have a family anymore since for years and years they sort of did the reserve of what someone should do for an autistic child.

I was misdiagnosed years ago with add...

Hi and welcome,
Assuming a somewhat faked identity/persona is a common ocurrence among HFA autistics. It's done to fit in and not be picked out/picked on as different. One might even have multiple 'Masks'. I hope thru investigating it, you can get clarity about what is going on.

Thank you.

My intentions or goals now are to find support and perhaps understanding with like minded individuals. I've been aware that there was something wrong but not what exactly what was wrong.

It's easy for me to profile other people just not myself

Welcome aboard. :) I had the same add misdiagnosis as a child and official Aspie diagnosis at 33

Radio voice, perceived as a "rockstar" early on at work (and then crashing like no one ever thought possible)...fooling everyone until i fall apart. Yep! Lol, the radio voice comnent is funny...i get that all the time...it covers up my natural failings and participation in high school speech and drama helped me create a facade personality, complete with a smooth voice, warm smile, and signature gestures...all created by me intentionally to fit in.

Oh wow, hisshadowx, I actually do some professional profiling...I have always wondered how I can accurately predict behavior but unable to control my own, at least for more than a short time. Oh, i am overcommenting...
