I never introduce myself in forums, but I guess I'll make exception here. I'm a 35 year old mom (any other moms here?), self-diagnosed. I'm not sure how I'd go about an official diagnosis, but everything I've read on Asperger's, including some posts on this forum, makes all my life experiences suddenly make sense! What would I ever do without the internet, hehe? It's not like I'd go around asking if anyone else does these "things" that I do. You learn pretty quickly not to reveal weird things to people
My interests are linguistics, math, science (especially astrophysics & related theorizing), string instruments, making my own clothes, reading, birding, databases, maps, etc.
I also homeschool my kids. I love doing it and I want to give them a better school experience than I had. I know I can be more sensitive to their quirks and learning styles than a classroom of peers and teachers can ever be. I definitely don't mean it's for everybody (it isn't), but it's worked well for us so far.
