Hello everyone, I'm 29 and for many years I was just a diagnosed schizophrenic but I was dealing with so much more that didn't make much sense to me (well nothing ever did really and that probably the point) regarding things I was experiencing. That was until last year when I met my girlfriend who is also ASD and we had so much in common that I'm now sure that was also there.

I have problems with speech often, sensory issues that fluctuate and change from day to day depending on a lot of factors, motor skill problems (in fact I was doing some research and came across this forum for the first time from someone's post "t-rex arm" thing and I was like "omg I do that involuntarily all the time!") which usually manifests as not having as much control in general over my movements and facial paralysis like experiences when I feel strong emotions, balance issues sometimes, I feel like a different species than most people, and have have many food sensitivities and digestive issues where if eat the wrong things I get a whole lot worse.

Life has been quite the roller coaster but I am much more stable now with her and managing things having introduced lions mane extract, tremella fuciformis extract, and also noticing I had electro-hypersensitivity shielding my monitor and computer. Without these my symptoms in all areas spiral out of control, so I suspect since lions mane and trmella also helped so much since they're neuro-regeneratives and it's such a huge factor I had some major demyelination thing going on.

I hold down a 20 something hour minimum wage job and despite the tedium of it I feel like things are going as smoothly as they can right now and I probably have a lot of life experience under my belt as a messy disorder combo meal. Some days I can almost pass as completely normal but I have a lot of bad brain and body days too though those days are much less than they used to be even compared to a year ago.

Nice to meet you all!

What is "T-Rex" arm?

T-Rex arm? I think it's like holding your forearms out in front, wrists down. I have seen it in one autistic guy.

Welcome to the site.

Thank you everyone!

I do that!!!!! I don't even realize I am until someone points it out!

I think maybe some people have through my life, it's not quite as awkward as those really REALLY bad brain days no position will feel "correct" standing up and interacting with people alone feels very degrading. I don't really know how to describe that one but some people here may know what I'm talking about. It's like the great destroyer of social communication.

Hi and welcome, I hope that you enjoy it here and find it interesting and supportive. It sounds like you have a good handle on what you are up against.

Eye-hand coordination, proprioception, dexterity, these are often lacking in people on the spectrum. I'm a total klutz when it comes to any kind of ball related sports. They said I "threw like a girl." That was an insult to girls.

I've seen some girls who were really good at throwing a ball.
