Here you have a man of 31 years who for about 1 years ago was diagnosed with aspergers syndrome, which still feels strange and I'm trying to understand who I really am and find things that may explain part of myself to others. I hope I can find friends here and maybe even a person who can understand me even if I do not understand myself yet. Looking forward to talking to all the nice people here

Hi! It may take a long time - the whole life time for most of us - to figure oneself out. Hopefully you are on a good way through that. Welcome to AC!

Welcome Edion,
Good news, you have the rest of your life to figure things out. Until then, just try to enjoy as much of it as you can. We have a lot in common, and I think you will come to feel at home here. It is a great feeling to discover that you are not alone. Especially after a lifetime of feeling like you are.
Good Luck.

Hi Edion! Welcome to Aspies Central. I completely understand how you feel. Having a good understanding of oneself can be hard for many of us. When I was a child, I had no idea of how to express my emotions clearly, and I didn't know why I behaved the way I did. I'm still in the process of figuring out who I am as a person now that I am going to be graduating from college and starting a new life.

The point is that the way we are as individuals changes over time. There may be some things about ourselves that we didn't know about before that could be discovered tomorrow. It's interesting how personality works. That's why it's a complicated subject to master.

I guarantee that there are individuals on this forum that feel exactly the same way. We have a diverse group of members, but we are all somehow connected to each other like a close-knit family because we always support each other when one of us is in need of help, advice, someone to talk to, etc. Hope you enjoy everything we have to offer here.
