What's good y'all. My name is Keith Daniels Jr. nickname is KJ and I'm currently a 21 year old college student. My story on autism started at around 15 months when I all of the sudden stopped talking. I wouldn't talk for the next 2-3 years and started talking again when I was 4. As a baby, I was diagnosed with autism. So my parents put me into therapy and got me help right away. Through the program the doctors didn't know if I was going to be able to be a functioning adult. But one of the doctors gave us reassurance when I solved a puzzle that I was going to be alright because I have good cognitive abilities. Throughout elementary school, I had trouble with social skills and making new friends with the kids. Same story in middle school. However, in 8th grade I attend this PEERS program that taught me social skills, making and keeping friends, and how to enter and exit conversations. So I made my first friend (who is currently my best friend) in middle school. I progressively got better at making friends in high school and in college. I am now in my senior year of college and will be graduating next year.
