Hello

Dangun

Geoseogan
Hello everyone,

I will be going by the alias "Dangun" on this forum community, the name of the legendary founder of the first Korean kingdom (full name being Dangun Wanggeom, or alternatively Tangun instead of Dangun, depending on how it's romanized). I chose this name because I'm into Korean history as well as the culture, currently trying to learn some Korean on the side. I do have Korean heritage and the family has retained some culture, mixed in with the mostly Southern culture that I grew up in.

I've moved a lot, but despite that, I consider myself to be from northern Florida. I wasn't born here but I love it here. The beaches are beautiful, which I enjoy during the winter since they're not crowded. I also love being by the water and on the water, wanting to learn to sail when I graduate from my university (I am studying electrical engineering).

I was officially diagnosed when I was 14-years-old, in addition to being diagnosed with an anxiety disorder (I suppose that's common among Aspies?).

Some of my interests include philosophy, American history, medieval & dark ages history (most notably Anglo-Saxon England), reading, news and current events, politics, making chainmail, historical reenactment (always wanted to, and plan on doing so after I graduate), HEMA (also plan on doing this after I graduate), chess, strategy games, airsoft, firearms (mostly history behind them), computers, and I guess that's it for the most part.

I look forward to taking part in this forum!

Regards,
'Dangun'

Welcome to the Forums! I hope you make new friends and enjoy your stay in the process

Also 2 friendly pieces of advice: Ensure you have the Politics Forum option box ticked; this can be found under your Personal Details part of your Profile, and that Political Discussion and Debate is not allowed in the Chat Room and is to be kept strictly within PMs or its respective forum

(I'm neither a Mod or Admin btw, just friendly advice so you don't get into trouble in the future)

Gotcha, thank you!

Also, thank you all for the welcomes!

Welcome Dangun.
I live in Florida also and have moved around a bit in my life also.
I'm very familiar with the north beach areas of the panhandle.
The sand and waters there are beautiful.
My favourite is Ft. Walton Beach area.
It is too crowded here anymore to enjoy the beach that I live nearby.

Yes. It may be the most common co-morbid condition.

That area is actually very close to me. I once lived down there.

"co-morbid." That's a good way to put it.
