Here to find support to help me in understanding my soon-to-be wife

Hello! I'm a 26 year old woman who is soon-to-be married to a 24 year old woman living with autism.

I'm here in order to try to understand her better and find support in helping her better than I currently do.

Thank you.

First off, congrats on the soon-to-be marriage! Not many Neurotypical or otherwise find that happiness or joy in another person to the point they want to spend the rest of their life with and stick with them. That said, I hope you are able to find the answers to the questions you are wondering about. If not, feel free to ask here and we will try to help you with our own perspectives or otherwise.

Welcome! Ask away and I love your icon. Is that your cat?

If I were you, I would ask your wife about this. I personally like it when people are just there for me. Be there for your wife. She will most likely appreciate it.

Hey all. I am Boo Bear's soon to be wife. I'm actually totally good with her asking questions about autism here. I have a very hard time expressing my feelings and needs, and explaining my autism. I was diagnosed with HFA at age three and a half, now I'm diagnosed with ASD Level 1/2.

I'm new here too, I didn't mean to hijack Boo's thread though. I just wanted to let people know that it's really perfectly okay with me for her to ask questions here.
