Hey all.

I'm Sky, it's nice to meet ya. I'm 25 years young, and often feel awkward around others. For the longest time I wondered, why? There's always been a social barrier so to speak. I can covey with others a little, but not as much, as I would like to. It's frustrating not knowing what to say, a majority of the time. I have no trouble understanding, sarcasm, irony, and such. Which is why my asperger's, was so difficult to diagnose. Mine is so borderline, I have it, and I don't have it. O_o

Just call it slight experts...

I've been feeling down, cause nothing is going right. As a result I developed sleep clinching, and TMJ. On top of already having, depression, anxiety, Post Dramatic Stress, ADD, insomnia, and probably something else, I'm forgetting. >_>

For fun I like to play Runescape, Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic- The Gathering, listen to rock music, go shopping, hang out with friends, roller blade, bike, walk, write fiction and draw. If your interested you can find my art, under "Victorious Kitten", on deviant art.

HI and welcome to AC! Its nice to meet you. :) At times i feel like i barely have it as well (even though i'm only self-diagnosed and my family agrees with me that i probably have it). I understand sarcasm and metaphorical language just fine with most people - unless its the serious, all business types i can't read them at all. (And half of my supervisors at work are such types, yikes!) Jokes, i don't get most of the time even with my own family. Nice hearing there's someone else who's an aspie but doesn't always fit the bill.

Welcome Sky :)

A fair few Aspies can relate to being barely recognisable as being an Aspie, so hopefully that will ease your mind a little. It's also quite common for professionals to be more familiar with the typically male AS traits, and unfamiliar with the thpically female ones. If you have yet to explore this, I recommend checking out the following:

A great book, that I like to recommend to our female members: Aspergirls: Empowering Females With Asperger Syndrome | AspiesCentral.com

A few free links:

Day 62: Females with Asperger’s Syndrome (Non-Official) Checklist | Everyday Asperger's

Aspienwomen: Adult Women with Asperger Syndrome. Moving towards a female profile of Asperger Syndrome | Tania Marshall

Thank you very much, everyone.

That book should shed some light on my situation.

I just worry about my love interests reaction.
He's already made a few comments about my settle differences, from other people.

"You should show more emotion."
(Thinking- For real? I can barely control them as it is.)

"You need to be more assertive. I thought you weren't interested in me, anymore."
(Thinking- Say what?! O_O )

I never liked any other guy more in my life. ^^;

I can relate very well with those comments your love interest has made. I've heard others say the same to me too.
