So after a few posts i figured i needed to get this out of the way (self-introductions are something i hate doing).
I'm 24 and was diagnosed with AS at a very young age, along with autism and ADHD. I denied i had any of that and went through life thinking i was "normal" and everyone else was just trying to label me. Recently, i couldn't figure out what was causing my lack of social ability and obsessive thoughts. I googled some things and all the results came up about AS. So gradually after a lot of self-exploration i accepted the original diagnosis. I had mixed emotions dipping down near suicidal thoughts and up to euphoric feelings, almost like i was bipolar. I started to do a lot of research (putting that AS to beneficial use) and learned so much which helped me develop my own coping methods. Recently, i discovered that just reading about others who go through the same things helped keep my mind at ease instead of constantly racing. I started with a tumblr blog and then googled for and Aspie forum (which this was the first result). You all seem like a friendly bunch, so i think i'll stick around for a while
