My long term partner has just been diagnosed with Aspergers . So I am joining forums and groups so that I can support him and also learn more about his condition. Is anyone else the partner of an aspie ?

Wish my husband had the same attitude as you, but sadly, doesn't, so bravo you, for wanting to help and understand, rather than pushing him to do things he cannot do.

Oh and I am the aspie and only found out 5 year's ago, but now confident enough to say ie not official.

Bonnie, read The Journal of Best Practices by David Finch. He's an Aspie & he wrote the book for his wife as he was determined not to lose her. (They are still married!) it's a funny read but also real as it relates to dealing with the differences of an Aspie/NT partnership.
