I think it a good idea letting aspies talk each other. And here i thought i was all alone. I'm a social aspie that talks all the time. Just got dignosed last summer but had sympotoms since i was a kid (early speech problems, obsesstions with certain topics, lack of empathy , ect)

Hola
Its cool to know I'm not the only one.

Welcome :D

It's not often I've come across a social Aspie. What is it do you think, that separates you from some others? I used to be pretty shy as a kid, but am much more vocal now as an adult.

I just grew out of being loner. Now I have many friends and I allways try to make more and maintain the old ones. I just became a extrovert over night during my teen years. But the classical symptims are stll there. I'm stll blunt and honest and i sometimes say the wrong things at the wrong time. Most people dont care too much and just move on. I hate the sound a quarter makes when it falls in a washing machine.I can be quiet if i'm up to somthing but most times. I'm the anoying girl that talks about anything and everything.

And the doc said I was an aspie but I really didnt believe her. Until i ran though my life before i went social. Quiet unless i knew you, reasearching information on the internet when i was in 3rd grade ( I have a compultion for learning. I can't go a day without thinking) , feeling difrent and lonely, read finace books when i was bored(at 8 looking up the words i dont know). It really made sense.

So in an aspie in everuthing but social matters. I dont think i had much of a choice as to whether or not i got better at socializing at that time i had just got 4 more siblings though marrige.

Welcome ab0698 to Aspie central.

Oh now a social aspie (joke), now if we can get it to rub off a bit may be we can make this world a better place to be.

I've known out-going Aspies. I think the reason most of us are recluses is the result of people treating us badly: I don't think reclusiveness is an integral part of Aspergers itself.

No, I don't believe it is, but most Aspies I have spoken to have admitted to me that they are, even if they don't want to be. I agree, it's not due to being an Aspie, but is usually the cause of a harsh environment.

Yep Id have to agree with that statement,
Have given it a whirl a few times myself. If youve ever seen a dog on rollerskates, it was kinda like that.
