I'm not sure where to start, but since I tend to repeat myself, this is FC speaking here, hyperlexic, awaiting the diagnosis (still on "atypical"), have some co morbid disorders, namely C-PTSD and at the very least ADHD, and although I see how people (or my own subjective and loose definition of a "general consensus erratically displayed on the internet") seem to be somewhat evolving in terms of awareness concerning the autism spectrum, I still have a lot of difficulty on finding it impartial and devoid of what I call "condescedent romanticizing".
Somebody told me on another forum that this weird attitude is inherent to neurotypicals as a regular behavioral pattern. It's odd, I find all of it very patronizing and hypocritical, but what do I know?
If there's one thing that some self control techniques and a few philosophies taught me, is to give others a chance albeit with some discernment.
Also, pardon for any typos and/or bad grammar. Although I'm self taught in English language since 1986, I'm rusty, due to parenting and college and minimum internet interaction (with English-speaking people) given these events.
Also, I'm just a person that likes reading way too much and is self taught on musical instruments (sax, vocals, bass guitar, guitar, etc.), who's stiff and goofy and cranky, but I'm told that I'm a kind and gentlemanly, giving person. I don't know about that, I call my wife-to-be the Portuguese equivalent of "dude" oftentimes, so...
I guess that's it for now. I'm tired & sleepy.
