Hello!
My name's Catherine!
I haven't been officially diagnosed with Asperger's, but about 2 years ago, my grandfather introduced me to that term. Then the more he talked to me about it, the more I felt like...this was completely me. And while he was explaining, I saw similarities between the both of us that I had never seen before...
As an example,
I love videogames and I have such an addiction for collecting figures of those! (I have a huge collection of Pokemon stuff and Assassin's Creed XD)
I also like to collect anything else. Stamps, coins and banknotes, rocks, erasers, feathers...anything I can get my hands on and that are collectable!
I also noticed that I have food habits. For example, I've been drinking the same things for years...or I'd eat something for like 6 months straight...and then...never eat it again for 1 year!
There's also a lot of other things, but I won't write a novel now!
Anyway, i'm quite glad that my grandfather talked to me about it...I probably wouldn't have known this today. I always felt out of place and hated, everybody at school used to look at me and say I was weird. And I didn't understand why. I'm happy to "know the reason" now, at least!
