Hi all members of the forum from Argentina

Hi all!. ¡Hola! (as it's said here) LOL. I'm a 27-year-old young (or not? LOL) man from inner Buenos Aires province. I was first wrongly diagnosed withing the schizophrenic spectrum back in 2012. I am currently awaiting diagnosis as to within the autism spectrum. My ignorance is extreme (for which I apologise deeply) on the issue and my mother is currently seeking further help to understand me. I've been tested by two persons professionals and tested an average to high score within the spectrum. I chose English language forum to avoid detection on Argentina's forums as I am mostly reluctant to meeting people nearby. You'll find in me a childish, but good person (I assume) and willing to do my best to succeed in life. It's an honor for me to salute you all from the land of Tango. :). Wish you the best and hope to be welcomed.

Hola Federico,
Don't worry about not fitting in. You will be fine as we all have or had problems fitting in with typical society and are not judgemental in that way. What is percieved as childishness is also very common with people on the spectrum. I hope you will find out some useful things here.

Thank you all for your kind messages. It warms my heart really. I'll keep you all up to date with my final diagnosis as for Wednesday morning (Argentine time; UTC-3), when they hand me the final results.

Hola !como estas? That's the end of the Spanish I can remember fluently, have a very very bad memory now ,bienvenida from the land of the bulldog and big Ben, I live 300 miles away from big Ben! Even though I was born in this country and didn't know I was autistic till I was 45 ,I still find it hard to understand English, one thing you learn about autistic people is we rarely feel comfortable anywhere I don't feel comfortable speaking on a forum in my home country

Welcome to the Forums! I hope you make new friends and enjoy your stay in the process! :)

Hi and welcome, I hope that you enjoy it here. It sounds like you have got a diagnosis that fits better, good luck on Wednesday.

Hi and welcome to the Forums. There are many nationalities here and many points of view.
Hang around a while, read older posts (searching is easy) and add your voice to the mix.

Ola to you also Federico!

It is nice to have someone from a different culture and understandable you would not
feel comfortable with those closer around you.
You are most welcome here. :D

Welcome! Your story is not an uncommon one. A friend of mine recently got diagnosed with ASD after 22 years of mistakenly being assumed schizophrenic. Good news for him because he was previously marinated in antipsychotics and now he can reduce his dosage.

Welcome Frederico! This is a really good place for you to be, members here are friendly, non-judgmental (for the most part) and accepting.

Hiya Federico! Welcome to the forums! Lots of great people here to chat with! I'm sure you'll find it a friendly place. :)

As promised 11:35am Argentina, and I've returned from the Dr. I'm within the spectrum. I should change my settings but don't know how. LOL :happy face: #NewLife, thank you all I love you all.

que sientes ahora? For non Spanish speakers I asked him how he feels now! Como dirias eso en espanol argentino?again for non Spanish speakers I asked him how that previous sentence was said in Argentine Spanish, couldn't ask about your dialect as I didn't want the stress out the tablet !anymore than it already is, it can't cope with me typing in another language, it has to immediately go back to English as I come from Northern England when I speak English I have to again change what I communicate as people from other areas of the UK and the areas of the world wouldn't necessarily understand it. is your Spanish exactly the same as it is spoken in mainland Spain and not andalucia , is it like catalan, I dislike the fact that so many languages are disappearing, France had five different languages, in the UK we had Gaelic in Cornwall which is part of England, Scotland , Wales, obviously the Republic of Ireland has Irish Gaelic, there is a certain revival of languages in the UK but I don't think enough, it's the same for the USA the native Americans are losing their languages
