Hi, and help, please?

Hi, everyone. I'm a college student who's writing a research paper for my English 102 class. My research topic is exploring the APA's merging of Asperger's & Autism into the catchall ASD diagnosis in their 2013 DSM-IV update. It's been 6 years since the big change and I'm interested in your thoughts. Asperger's may no longer be "official", but the term is obviously still in common use. Some seem to prefer their Aspie definition while others have wholeheartedly embraced the change. I know we all have different perspectives on this issue and opinions will vary wildly.

If you have a spare minute, could you fill out my little survey, please? ( DSM-5 Change - From Aspies to ASD? ) I'm just trying to get a sense of how other people who have been touched by Asperger's and Autism feel about the whole change. Please feel free to fill out as much or as little of the survey as you feel comfortable with. The information will just be used for my paper and only my professor will see it. I promise not to share any of your information with the public. You can reach me with any comments and/or questions at [email protected] and thank you SO much for your time and help! Have a nice day.

You should know not many people here use email, nor are they keen on using email.

So they'll likely message you on here

Also it'd be nice of you to share the end results once all this is done on your end, so people can see what the said end results are

Thanks for the insight. My survey doesn't take emails, so hopefully, it will be OK with people. It's meant more to help me some perspectives from a few "real" people as opposed to the experts in the books I'm reading. And I'd be happy to share my paper once it's completed. Just know that it's for an intro level English 102 class and I'm not an exceptionally adept writer (yet!). So it might be a somewhat dry read. Thanks.
