Hello all

My son (12) is going through diagnosis for aspergers. I joined to learn better ways of supporting him. Having a prob with him teasing at the moment (posted in separate post). In the past we have had issues with school anxiety but at the moment that is fine so I'm hoping to keep it that way by helping him to have smoother relationships with peers. Would be very grateful for any insights and thanks for having me here :-)

Welcome to our friendly helpful universe :)

You may find our resource area helpful,or dig thru the forums archives to posts that apply to your questions...most threads remain open and are kept here for reference

It is called the autistic spectrum because it has many variables,no set rules, and each autie has different levels of functioning

There are people on many levels of function here who will share advice on where you should start...I regret that I cannot answer your first thread myself

Thank you very much for your warm welcome. Means a lot to be here with people who understand :-) Its been a long journey so far. Hopefully things moving forward now. I will look through the archives. Thank you

Welcome aboard! It's always nice to see supportive parents.

Thank you for your welcomes. Very much appreciated. Hope I can also contribute something here as well as ask questions :-)

Hi and thank s for the welcome and links. I had heard of Tony Attwood but have never looked into his work in any detail. Will certainly look him up now I know he is recommended and check out the other links. Thanks.
