Hi everyone, I am Sander

Sander

Master Liar
Hi everyone, I'm Sander.
I'm 16 years old and from The Netherlands. Here in Holland my name has a totally different meaning to it than in english, in Holland it means something like protector. Enough of the boring stuff.

I was diagnosed with Asperger a month ago, it was quite a shock, eventhough I knew I was different since I was little. I'm a very nice, loving and caring person. At least, that is what people say about me.

My interests are in cars, computers, gaming, all kinds of designing and I also like the medical world ( working on an ambulance, or in the ER.).

I don't have a lot of friends, actually none. At school that is, in the beginning people like me, but further down the way, they start to get annoyed or fed up with me.
The problem is, sometimes I enjoy the quitness, but most of the time I like having friends around me, having the feeling of being loved.
Well, that was a little about me, because I really don't know what to say else.

Thanks. :)

Thanks Turk, thats really nice! I would put my feet up if I could, but school calls :(

Hello!

Being different in school is tough. I still remember that. What got me through it was the idea that I'm different so if they can't accept that, then they're the ones with a problem. That, and the idea of not seeing them anymore as soon as I was done with school.

It isn't much,but I hope it helps!

Well hello Sander!! And I still feel the shock almost four years later, but mostly because I found a book, Aspergirls, and it actually is like reading my life story. Seeing how Aspergers effects everything in my life. When I was diagnosed, they just said it affects my learning abilities and social traits. But to read this book, it's the shock all over, but times 10. And ooooo do you have a favourite type of design? I want to one day work for Disney, designing the rides and attractions, the parade floats and costumes, and the general landscape of new parks :) It's like architecture and fashion in one kind of... And I have the same problem at school. It got even worse in college. If you're alone, there's no one who will come to you and talk to you out of pity like I was used to. They'll just stare as they walk by. Sometimes another no-so-"normal" kid will come up to me, but quickly one or the other of us getting scared and it ends. But I think it would be different is the other person had Aspergers. Most of the ones that do come up to me that don't fit in elsewhere tend to be really outgoing and loud and in your face--literally. And I know the feeling of needing love and affection. It's great to meet you!!

Hi abdoriginal, it is really nice to meet you too! :) Well I hope it will be better for me in two years when I start hbo dutch scolarsystem:

I redid class 3 of HAVO. But to the question of design. I tend to change in that. At the moment I quite like metro design, like in windows 8 with all those nice colors.Metro (design language) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
but I also like the disney theme thing. Altough its way different. :)
again, itvwas so nice to meet you, and, just the knowing of somone who has felt the same made me feel better.
I'm sure we wil talk soon!
Sander

This site might of interests to you then :D It's all about how a computer works and it's simple enough to understand if you wanted to know the more technical and science behind what goes on inside your computer :)

Wow, thanks, I haven't been this deep into the harware, normally more like wich hardware performs good and what fits together. :)
