Hi Everyone

Hi everyone. I am new here and thought I would say a few things about myself. I am female, 50 years old and suspect I have some form of mild autism or Asperger's syndrome. I have not been evaluated by a professional yet. I also think my father and brother have some form of ASD. Outward appearances would have all 3 of us seeming to be quite "normal," but we all have varying degrees of autistic traits. I only began to suspect that we're all "on the spectrum" in the past several months. I have taken the "Aspie" test and the empathy test and scored 150/200 and 17 respectively. Thank you.

Welcome. I had the same perception before i was diagnosed. I knew I had some aspie traits but some I did not have. I received a clear diagnosis of autism I also scored 155/200.

Thanks Loomis. Were you diagnosed as an adult? If so, has it helped you to have a definite diagnosis? I've heard that it causes problems for some people. I also took another test online (I think it was a shorter version of the other one) and scored 43. I think it was called the AQ test. If I go to a Dr. and he says "Yep, you are autistic," I'll be like "OK, now what? I'm 50."
