Hi, this is Jono from Wrongplanet. I've just registered because I've just gone to the wrong planet site now and I get the an error page saying "Forbidden, You don't have permission to access / on this server" even if I go as a guest.

Does anyone know what this means. Can anyone else access the site.

Probably, I thought for a moment that I was IP-banned or something (though I don't know what I could of done). The site was also down for a time last night but it usually gives a Cloudfare page when that happens.
 
I had same message today when I tried to log in over there. Site technical issues I imagine.
 
Hey, Jono. I can't access Wrongplanet either, it gives me the same 'forbidden url' message. I've actually begun to grow frustrated with Wrongplanet because of the blatant indifference on Alex Plank's part toward the community and the site itself, and the slow responsiveness of the current moderating team.

Well, it's back up now. Alex said that was down because he's trying to revert back to the first stage of migration from the old WP site because the second stage introduced new bugs. He's trying to fix them.

Oh, well. I guess I'll continue to post here, since I'm now registered. This forum has fewer technical problems than WP. I'll still continue to post there as well though.
 
I haven't been on there on there for a while and I have noticed a lot has changed since then, even the profile page on there changed entirely, although for some reason, it thinks I'm 45 (even after putting the correct d.o.b), bit cheeky I think. :rolleyes:
 
Ok, now I can no longer post anything on Wrongplanet or PM anyone for that matter, even though I'm able to access my account. I can see other people posting on there so I don't know if I've been banned or what. I don't know what for if I have been because I don't think think I've broken any rules, nor have I been given any warning by a mod. I notice on one thread there that the site was down again.
 
Nah, its the same kind of mess for me. I was only there for PMs and now they are gone. Alex 'fixing' more things I suppose. :/

Gah, some kind of glitch in the system then, probably introduced by whatever was done during the second maintenance. The issue is that other people are able to post in the forums and I can't. I can see them posting.

Superboyan are you having this problem?
 
Hi Jono. I joined and logged into WrongPlanet to try and help and it DID work for me. Maybe the problem has been resolved...Give it another go!

I seem to have no issues on my side. Maybe it's worth contacting them using the contact us tab, they would be the one that would help you with it since it has nothing to do with us.

The problem was resolved a while ago. Actually, a number of members there have experienced it, including League_Girl. Alex said that it was a bug in the system.

Also, Wrongplanet doesn't seem as active as it usually is. There seems to be only a handful of us posting there at the moment.
 
I did notice a message from Alex in my email saying there were some glitches in the site they were working to resolve, but I haven't been on there in a while. Ever since I got my iPad the site hasn't let me post, or dumps my message halfway through. I actually find the layout of this site to be a little easier to navigate, for some reason. Still have some good friends from WP though. I hope the technical maintenance issues don't drive everyone away...

Hey! It's OOM from there. It's been doing that to some people. There are still a lot of bugs on the new site.

I wonder how many more of us there are from WP on here. Maybe we should start a thread....
 
BTW, I've started a thread here in random for the WP members and former members to post in to say hi. Come on over and post on it please.
