Hi I'm new in here

welcome to af.png

Hi, and Welcome to the Forums! I hope you make new friends and enjoy your stay here in the process!

Hi and welcome, I hope that you enjoy it here and find it useful and supportive. I think a lot of us here struggle in those areas of trying to make friends, and unstructured social interaction, I know I do too. I try to find strategies that work for me, like going to a class or ongoing groups meetings based on interests, plus coming here too! I hope reading threads here and joining discussions will be useful for you, and help you feel you can and do interact with others. We're just a bit different from neurotypical people, is all.

Welcome to the Forums!
I hope you find it as good as I did to interact with others,
share thoughts, read threads of interest.
I think you'll find it very interesting and informative with the plus of feeling
not so socially isolated.

I wasn't diagnosed until mid-fifties, and it has helped me a lot. :)

Welcome to the forum. Do you have any special interests you wish to share?

We have some accomplished photographers here who share great pictures. My avatar is a pic l took near a beach that about 1.5 hours away from me.

Most definitely.

It seems people know I'm different and it isn't accepted.
Perhaps that is how the human race is. I'm glad to have found why I've been
different and when the dust settled, and I understood myself, I was glad to
find the forum here.

With therapy and being able to talk openly with others, I feel much more
self- accepting and not so alone.

I live by the same beaches as @Aspychata.
The Gulf of Mexico. Florida's west coast.
Photography is a shared interest for a lot of us.

I collect rare rocks and semi-precious gemstones.
And a good horror movie or two. ;)
Have this horror every day in the summer here. Don't like lightning.
