Hi, I'm undiagnosed but suspect that I'm on the spectrum...

I came here for a better understanding until I learn whether I am or not. I've also just broken up with my (strongly suspected) ASD boyfriend. It wasn't confirmed but had I known a week ago what I know now...

I live in the UK. I'm 47. I'm pretty depressed. That is all... :)

Welcome to the Forums Amanda! I hope you make new Friends and enjoy your stay in the process :)

Hello Amanda

I am undiagnosed as well, but everyone around me accepts I have aspergers; well, that is because they have got to know me and thus, it is fairly obvious lol

Anyway, there are many who are self diagnosed here.

Hi Amanda!!!

I am also new here... Figuring out I'm on the spectrum as well. I once broke up with a guy who was also on the spectrum and it started one of the darkest chapters in my life, I thought he had been the cause of all my problems and he was so upset I started stalking him thinking I could make him feel better. I totally understand where you're at, just try not to do those things. Remember this is your own adventure not linked or guided by him and that he was only a part of it. Best of luck, be true to yourself and do the things that make you geniunely happy. It's hard not to linger on the past but I am here to tell you it will get better.

I’m trying to work it all out, understand it all too. Maybe I’ll have a diagnosis soon.

I agree with above, you are you - be yourself. Take some time out to do things you want to do.

Thank you everyone for your warm welcome, I really appreciate it :)

Re the quote above, the guy that I was dating has on the scale too, I think...perhaps HFA or Aspergers, I don't know. :( I'm still learning what the differences are, anyway.

I'm unlikely to stalk; I'm tempted to look and stuff but it wouldn't do me any good and perhaps make me feel worse... we've not had any contact; we won't, I imagine, until he wants to arrange to collect his stuff. I imagine that then he will use an intermediate.
