Hi there!

Hey guys, I am new to this site. I'm also a member of Wrong Planet (under a different username) but I thought I would check out this site too. I'm 17 years old and have been diagnosed with Asperger's since I was 7. I like reading, writing, browsing forums, listening to music, and making up characters and stories in my head.

Welcome aboard :)

Welcome to the forum. Hope you have a good time here. :D

I'm 57 and female, just received a diagnosis of "Extremely High Functioning" Asp's ... have ADHD and lots of anxiety issues (OCD, PTSD, social anxiety, GAD, etc.) ..not socially awkward, very extroverted and outgoing, but don't have any friends locally and don't feel comfortable enough staying home alone. Looking for friendship; I'm asexual and panromantic and get along with many people. I have a hard time relating to fantasy or fiction -- I'm a non-fiction writer, editor, proofreader ... feel free just to say "hi."

Thanks, Diagnosed2015, and welcome to the site. Sorry you have to deal with all those anxiety issues--I hope you get through them. I'm very quiet and shy most of the time, and have a tough time making friends. I suspect I'm also asexual and panromantic. I do enjoy reading/writing fiction, though I enjoy nonfiction as well if it relates to my interests.

Thank you. It's nice to meet you. Since my diagnosis, I've been reading a lot online and ordered two Asp' books. I don't write much anymore, just a few blogs, as I've been on disability since 2008. The anxiety has lessened considerably, so I'm hoping it's going to get better. I understand about non-fiction and interests; with ADHD, my interests (and conversations) can end up going in all directions, so I'm always interested in something (smile).
