Hi to all,

I am 190, a 20something male from Singapore.

I was diagnosed as AS when around 10, my initial response then was "WTF? are you sure"? But it was true. Shrinks and speech therapy proved quite useless for my case anyway. Over the years though, I've learned to overcome the negative traits of AS and assimilate with Singaporean society.

I don't really have a need for being on any AS support group or whatsoever, but my purpose here is to try to help other AS people overcome these traits and blend into society. Originally, I thought Aspies would learn to assimilate into society ("grow out of it"), but I discovered how wrong I was recently when I found out a lot of them had problems holding simple jobs here. That's why I'm here: to try to help others.

Welcome to the forums, 190. We have a few other members from Singapore on here too.
