Hi!

Blaze

Queen of the Castle
My name's Blaze - I was just googling to see if there were any good books with characters on the Autism spectrum, but found this site instead :P

I'm hesitantly self-dxing as Autistic since all I've read about it fits, working on a diagnosis but unfortunately I'm stuck waiting on both the specialist, since he's booked up, and my parent's medical assistance, since we're technically low income now... yay! /sarcasm

Anyways, I'm 16 years old, still in high school.. I live in Australia at the moment, and my main special interests are computers, Animal Crossing, RWBY and Gravity Falls! I have way more though, honestly.. I used to just stick with books as my main interest, and then Tumblr happened and suddenly I'm at 19 special interests with no real way of stopping. Send help ;_;

Welcome aboard :)
I hope you enjoy the community

The book, The Speed of Dark meant a lot to me. I've never so identified with a character and I felt such peace knowing there could be someone like that, someone with autism living a successful life. I've re-read it many times.

I have heard good things about "The Speed of Dark" from one of my exes. She had good taste, so I trust her opinion.
I would also recommend "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time." It's the story of an autistic teen who lives with his divorced father. One night he comes across the corpse of a murdered dog. He decides to investigate, and what he finds leads him down a path of self-discovery.

Also; I love Gravity Falls. I just binge watched season one. Season two, here we come!
