Hi
I am a 64 year old married woman. I have recently taked a good few tests online and all the results place me firmly on the spectrum ( lowest result was 45). Reading about people with Aspergers, it all sounds like me as a child and adult. I just feel a sense of relief because there is a reason I have never fit it and had trouble with work. I have no idea what to do next, there does not seem any reason to get a diagnosis.

welcome where are you from ?:)If you're from the USA or Australia and have medical Insurance ,getting a diagnosis can help with diagnosis of other medical conditions !as certain medicines interact with others !
I don't know if you're suffering from high cholesterol but appears to be prevalent in autistic people! if it hasn't been picked up yet !that's what good about an autism diagnosis !as our perception of toxins is very sensitive!
doctors respect a diagnosis a very few therapists respect self-diagnosis!
i'm in the UK I suffered a lot because I wasn't diagnosed and I was 45 .

Thanks Streetwise. I am from the Isle of Man ( the Island in the middle of Britain). I do have high cholesterol, high blood sugar and controlled epilepsy. Plus allergies (hayfever, asthma) and many other minor ailments. I stopped the medication for cholesterol as it gave me dreadful joint pains. I prefer to be mobile now, my joints are bad anyway!
