I'm new to this site and have recently been diagnosed with Asperger and Social anxiety disorder. I'm 28 years old, from the Netherlands and my Asperger diagnoses came as a complete surprise to me and had some catching up to do learning about autism. It was really strange in the beginning to find out that my traits and almost my whole life had been summed up and published on Wikipedia and other sites. It felt like someone had hit a reset button and I had to find my true self again. Somehow others seemed to know more about me than I ever did. But I also felt incredible relieved. I was able to understand why I've felt like an outsider all my life. I started to think about everything that has happened and finally I had an answer to many of my questions.
What else is there to say. My interests (or obsessions) started with trains, old timers, caravans and then everything camera related. Sorry, I don't know how 'caravans' got in... :rolleyes2: Everything camera related is still my great passion in life and that's why I became a filmmaker. I like editing, creating 3D animations and taking pictures. Autism has been my engine in becoming talented, but also my obstacle in getting successful with it. I've had great opportunities, but was never able to act upon it.
Anyhow, that's my story in a nutshell.
Nice meeting you!
