Hi

psychedelica

Well-Known Member
Um... I'm Lisa, I'm 16, and I'm from the Netherlands. I was officially diagnosed with PDD-NOS when I was 7 but I've only known about it for a few months. A lot of things make sense now, haha :D
I like art, languages and music.
Oh and I got here from spectrumville.
And..... I don't know what to write. Nice to meet you all, or whoever reads this, or.. yeah :)

Hey there psychedelica, welcome to Aspies Central forums,

I'm 18 so there really isn't much of a age difference and I still occasionally check Spectrumville out so it's all good.
I also like art and also music. So your multi-lingual?

Enjoy your time here and happy posting. :)

Well.. multi-lingual.. I don't know, depends on what you think is multi-lingual. I speak Dutch and English fluently, Spanish, French and German on an intermediate level, and I've started learning Swedish 2 weeks ago (and love it so far). And I've learned some Japanese and Russian but I got bored of it. I want to speak at least 10 languages fluently some day ^^

New person! Yay!

I am also interested in Japanese but need to revive the interest and start studying it again.

Hello and welcome to the forums at AspiesCentral.

I see that one of your interests is languages. Did it take you long to learn them all? Was it difficult?

Thanks everyone! :)

Hello and welcome to the forums at AspiesCentral.

Um well my language learning history isn't that impressive.. but well, I don't think it took long.. and it's hard to say how long, you could say English took me around 4 years, but I got a lot of exposure to it, all my life.. I didn't study English every day for 4 years though, I don't think I've ever actively studied it, just watching movies/reading books/speaking it, as soon as we got internet. And I still need to improve my English, I make really stupid mistakes sometimes.. And Spanish.. I can understand news articles and stuff and I've been studying it for 10 months, usually not more than 10 minutes a day and often not at all :D which is pretty good I guess but I could've done more, I think it's definitely possible to learn to speak a language fluently in a year. And it was not difficult, usually it's like.. day/week 1: how can people speak this?? I remember nothing i read it's all gibberish it's the hardest language ever D: Lol at least it feels like that at the start xD and then as soon as you know the basics it's really easy to improve quickly, and then at a more advanced level it's hard to improve cause you don't use the new words right away.
