Hello and warm wellcome to the forum :)

Reg the substance abuse You have takend a BIG step with currently trying to leave that and i wish you ALL the luck with it. (NO im not a recovering of either drugs or alcohol or anything BUT in my young adult hood i was HEAVY invoulved in the all kinds of HEAVY addicts friend cirkel incl MANY that had SEVERE mental iccues So ive seen my fare share of this tragick life as well :()

The best advice i can give you is take ONE step at a time and DONT be ashamed or scared to ask for and get help & support and above all NEVER give upp. Even if you take a rebound. GET BACK upp and get back on it again YOU CAN do this.

Welcome to the forum, as someone who has seen many loose their health & fall to illness from abuse of either alcohol (hard spirit abuse), hard illegal drugs or even especially pharmaceuticals. you are making the best choice with making that statement that you've stopped the substance abuse. I hope that your statement above about such is now your line in the sand.

You've come to the right place to find help & understanding, everyone's lovely here. With many able to listen, offer stories with examples & friendly help. Also we try to keep it light so you're free to open up & on certain threads have a laugh to keep things easy going & happy.

Hi and welcome, well done for making positive choices and here's hoping this forum provides understanding, connections, advise and become a positive 'to go to' in your life.
