Hi,

MacLoughlan

Well-Known Member
I read about the Michael Burry in Michael Lewis? book ?The Big Short? and thought much of what he was describing as aspergers was really familiar to me - he could be describing me. I more recently saw some video clips of asperger?s people and some of what they describe I?ve always been really familiar with. So I took the on line test a couple of times and score in the low 30?s.

Then I read various of the posts, and it?s like reading my diary.

I?m 48. Having these traits explains an awful lot of stuff in my past. Looking back it?s like I?ve been walking into same type of traps over and over again. It?s good to know why; perhaps knowing this I'll be able to find or invent better strategies.

It?s really great that there?s so much material out there, and forums &c. It really helps.

Thanks to the guys how run the forum and all of you contributors!

I am 47 and just found out a few months ago that I have Aspergers. It was "The Big Frying Pan That Hit Me In The Face". Suddenly I realized "That Explains A Lot!" Since then I keep realizing that it all makes sense now. All the way back to my youth. I have been diagnosed with just about everything else, and never even had a clue this existed. Finding out, was the best thing to have happen to me.
Good Luck

Hi MacLoughlan! Welcome to Aspies Central. I'm 23 and I was diagnosed back when I was 6, but I didn't become aware that I had it until I was 13. I'm glad you are enjoying all we have to offer here. We're a very understanding and helpful community in which its members are always there for each other; I often like to call our community a close-knit family. Please feel free to post often if you have any questions, concerns, or insights you would like to contribute to a conversation on the forum or even to start your own thread if you want.
