Hey there, I'm gay and high functioning Aspie. I'm 35. Trying to stay anonymous because of all the hatred and bad/incorrect thoughts about people with Asperger's. Also, the psychologist who I paid 100$ to diagnose me still hasn't filed the report, even though she said during our last session that I do have HFA. The first time I reminded her she said she was working on it, but that was last month and when I e-mailed and called her again she hasn't gotten back to me yet. This makes me angry because I wonder if I just got scammed by her for my 100$--if I don't have that report I'm not "officially diagnosed" and I can't get help from UW (I'm in the Seattle area).
 
If she doesn't respond and provide the report I'd report that to the state licensing agency which licenses psychologists. Seems to me you should have had it by now (speaking as a professional with a license).

Oh my goodness, you should have had your report long before this- that's more than 2 months ago! Many of the psych evaluations are formatted in the computer so she would just have to sort of fill in the blanks. Shouldn't take her 2 months to do that. Yes I'd send her a written communication telling her why her delay is a problem for you and asking what is needed for her to complete it. Try polite first and if that doesn't work then you can say you'll have to report her to her licensing board if she continues to avoid doing what you paid her to do.

Hope that solves the problem then. I'm assuming you went to someone in private practice but if she's at an agency then you could also access her supervisor if needed. Actually $100 for a formal evaluation is very inexpensive these days.
