Rubin 'Hurricane' Carter, boxer wrongly convicted of murder, dies - CNN.com Rubin "Hurricane" Carter died on Sunday. Hurricane was wrongly convicted of a triple murder as he was rising to the top of the boxing world. He is best remembered from the ballad "Hurricane" written and sung by Bob Dylan. After his release from prison he went on to help the wrongly accused and became an even better champion of the world. RIP Rubin...
