I was diagnosed with aspergers last Wednesday, since I was self aware I knew I was different to my siblings and people I went to school with. Prior to my diagnosis I saw many different psychiatrist who said I was depressed anxious and even had paranoid schizophrenia. My son was diagnosed before me with aspergers and it was the people working with him that noticed the similarities in our behaviour, so they made an appointment on my behalf to see someone in adult neurological development, knowing what's wrong with me at least gives me closure and now I can move on I guess.
