A childhood NT friend of mine graduated college. I was scared to go to her party but I did. I actually told her I wasn't coming but then ended up going anyway. And I had fun. It was good to see her. She seems to understand me even though she's an NT. She studied psychology so maybe that's why.
 
Great to hear and also, shows that when someone takes the time to try and understand, it is like a breath of fresh air.

The worst part about social gatherings, is when you have no idea what to say and end up being alone, whilst seeing others having fun and so, if just one person detected this and came over and tried to talk, that would make the world of difference.

I find that after the inital hi and how are you, my mind goes blank. A female aspie on youtube said this and I thought: wow that is so me; not knowing where to start in a conversation.

So when you find that you enjoy it, that is a notch to add to your postive "belt" lol
