Good morning/ afternoon/ evening/ night everyone. My name is Michael, I?m currently twenty-three, and live in Indiana. I am an officially-diagnosed aspie, having gotten my test results back less than two years ago. The way my diagnosis began is truly something, but that's another story. My two most favorite hobbies are gaming and writing. To be more specific, World of Warcraft and fan fictions. My favorite franchise is The Land Before Time, which has been the base of most of the fan fictions I?ve devoted my time to.
I am not shy in the least bit, opening up with very personal details to people I?ve just met. I am a college student majoring in English at Oakland City University. I have tutored English before, so if anyone would like to ask me about that sometime, like perhaps for a homework assignment, he or she is most welcome to. I really enjoy most anything in regards to composing documents, though I do tend to get carried away. A friend asked me to list some areas for improvement on a few chapters of his fan fiction, and a couple of my replies were actually longer than the chapter itself.
I still live with my parents, as independence is still something that strikes fear into my heart. I live with them on a farm filled with cats, cows, chickens, and a dog. For work, I just do odd jobs for my father. I have three brothers, all younger, and the oldest of the three has already moved out of the house. Most of my friends are online, as I find such socialization to be the easiest. Sometimes, I just don?t know what my tone of voice should be during a chat, and I make too many assumptions about the tones of others as well as their body movement. Through the internet, I can erase and change replies. It is awkward changing in person, because I have to quickly say, ?Oh wait! I didn?t mean it like that. Let me try wording it this way.?
Friendships are amongst the things I value most. Though I have many, I typically have a feeling of loneliness, as my ability to connect to neurotypicals leaves much to be desired. It is not often I can enter a conversation and be truly myself; I have to hold a lot back. Still, with so many people who really care, I do have a decent feeling of satisfaction. I met an aspie offline finally, but the times we get to be together are still quite limited. Nonetheless, she is a very sweet girl and I am thankful that our paths met.
I am a Final Fantasy fan, and my avatar and title are derived from it. I am very touched from sacrificing for others, and there is a Final Fantasy class called Heritor, usable only by the character Adelle, that has the pinnacle of sacrifice as a spell. It is called ?Elpe.? It causes her to lose all of her health to revive and fully heal all allies. Helping others at one?s own expense brings a truly magnificent sensation. The Heritor class has had my attention for a while, and I use it for many accounts.
Well, I guess that serves as a basic, yet sufficient, introduction. I am very happy to be here, and I truly appreciate the invitation I received to join. I hope my presence here will be put to good use. Thank you for your time.
