Welcome to the site. I hope you like it here, I also like the forum software quite alot, it's nice that's it's so shiny, even if there's a few bits that are a bit rough (as posted elsewhere).

I voted on the poll before I read the OP, but I would have voted the same even if I understood "this" in the poll question to refer to the poll and not the thread title's sentiment.

One tip: If you decide to disable the email notification for watched thread in the preferences (on by default), the change only applies to threads you start to watch after the change is made, to stop receiving email for existing watched threads you have to go to the watched thread list and tick all the threads you watch (don't recall a select all button) and select to disable the email notification for the selected threads.

Btw, would that be the "worse is better" approach that you're thinking of with minimalist open-source software? Ooo, and is your avatar from Dr Strangelove?

"nb." is a standard abbreviation for "nota bene" - which is Latin for "note well" Nota bene - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (URLs are also converted to links, with the page's title as the link text, but you've probably noticed/guessed/assumed that by now)

I have dialup. So what I like about this software is that it is very easy on bandwidth, yet at the same time keeps updates and things in realtime. So many forums out there that I can barely use, but this one definitely got it right!
