I need life to be easier

I'm on a program called independent living support. They are supposed to help with shopping cooking and cleaning dr. appointments etc. I have found the program only good for shopping and doctors appointments. I don't like how my worker does things in the kitchen because I'm afraid of germs. I tried to get her help with it at least but it's a fail. So I've been eating out a lot or out of a can which isn't healthy. I figured out what to do for my incontenence issues. I just use period pads and they work just as good. But I'm not eating healthy and I still struggle to shower.

I'm wondering what it would be like in a group home. They would probably make me wear diapers. I tried that at home and got infection because I didn't shower for four days. Do you think I'd get infection in a group home? Because it's not a matter if I end up in one but when. So I'm wondering what it would be like. Can anyone give me any information on what it's like to live in a group home in Canada? I have a feeling I won't be doing well this winter. I might have to go in one because I find independent living support almost as difficult as when I wasn't on the program.

I've worked in a group home, and two of my brothers live in them. This is in the US, though. There are different levels of care depending on your need. If you wind up in one, one of the things that staff will hopefully address is showering. With their help, you won't be going so long without one.

As far as the diapers themselves are concerned, how much staff is involved will also depend on your need. If they see that you're not handling it well on your own, they may have to help with changes. I don't know how you feel about that.

You do seem to be needing some kind of change. (So do I, but a group home isn't in my near future.) It could be that therapy and/or medication would be other options to deal with some of the issues that you're having.
