I never knew this existed

Hello. My name is Zach and I'm glad to see that a place like this exists. I've been through a lot in regards to my Asperger's and it's been a long road. I hope to be able to help others and maybe get some help myself. I started out as low functioning Asperger's to the point where I couldn't be in regular public schools and worked on it and eventually was helping in the special needs area of my high school and doing presentations on Asperger's itself. I hope to get along with everyone here.

Hi Zach. Welcome to AC. This is a great place to be where you discover you're not so alone on so many levels.

Thank you for discovering Aspies Central, this I can relate to you. I had speech delays as a young age and autism that was far severe which eventually at a later stage became a diagnosis otherwise known as Aspergers Syndrome. Going through some sorts of therapy while growing to the point I no longer needed to go, to the point having my own voice is enough and a long road it sure has been. But of course, I myself have struggles, but overcoming it is what makes us stronger and builds us along the long road.

Good to meet you and feel free to post a topic or to contribute what you can to this community and hope to see more content. :)

Wow! Thank you all. I've always kinda been on my own with this[save for a few friends and the occasional person in special needs program] and it's wonderful to get such a warm welcome here

I totally agree - it IS lovely and friendly and definitely feels like a secret place from society which is great and a rare thing. It's our safe haven where we can be ourselves and meet others who understand us unlike the NTs. Welcome :)
