I don't really know why I decided to do this, but I had ~45 tracks sitting in my soundcloud account that were being kept private because I was too embarrassed to even showcase them alongside my more recent work. Today, a thought crossed my mind that I could put a fresh master on them and set them free, because life is more fun like that. Even if only a few people ever stop by to listen to them.
I'm not really sure if this is a good or bad idea, but it felt right. For some reason.
If anyone wants to check it out, it's a free download here, but I don't recommend it. The idea here is to discuss releasing your worst work 'as-is' - have you ever done it? Do you have any thoughts on it? I'd love to hear if anyone else has done the same!
