In this video I explain why I say no to racism and how is it the same as ablism since most of us had been discriminated being autistic.

Personally, if you are one of those "social justice warriors" that see racism in nearly everything, then that, in and of itself makes you racist, even if your outward intentions appear to be well-meaning. The fact that you filter things though a lens of racism, makes you a racist. The only people who are not racist, in my view, are people who are blind to it, the people who simply treat everyone the same, that is until the other person reveals their character. It is then, that a person is judged by their character.
How does one define whether or not someone or something is racist? We can look at the horrible things that happen as a result of discriminatory behaviors and violence. We can look at the equity and equality laws which are designed to help the "disadvantaged", but are also highly racist in their own right. Personally, if you are one of those "social justice warriors" that see racism in nearly everything, then that, in and of itself makes you racist, even if your outward intentions appear to be well-meaning. The only people who are not racist, in my view, are people who are blind to it, the people who simply treat everyone the same, that is until the other person reveals their character. It is then, that a person is judged by their character. I dare say, that with myself, being autistic often blinds me to all the subtle nuances of social behaviors and thoughts, a deficit that inhibits my ability to recognize social hierarchies and simply treats everyone the same. It confuses and sometimes insults some people who, given their position in the hierarchy, expect deference. It makes some people happy, I think, when I treat the cleaning ladies exactly the same as the hospital CEO. The other consideration, within my world, is that the hospital environment is a microcosm of the world. It is highly diverse. A United Nations of people working side by side. I literally do not recall a single racist incident, real or rumored, by a hospital employee against another hospital employee. Most, if not nearly all racist incidents are triggered by patients. I believe if you are isolated within your own little bubble, your little tribe, you tend to view the world as "us" and "them". It is then that racism flourishes.
There's a phenomenon in psychology that basically says, if you are one to frequently dwell and ruminate about your problems, they will become more pronounced. As you go throughout your day, little things will be constant reminders of your problems. You become hyperaware, real or imagined. Racism tends to be similar. The more you become hyperaware, real or imagined, the more racist you become. This is not to suggest that turning a blind eye to it automatically makes it go away, but it certainly allows a hot flame die down to warm embers.
Agree. Slavery has been going on for centuries. It's in the Bible. Moses. The slave trade is still quite alive and well as we speak. Map | Walk Free. The African slave experience in America is not unique, nor was it rooted in racism, but rather economics. For all you "social justice warriors" out there, if you want to really make a difference, take up the cause of the millions who are slaves right now. You may find it has little to do with the color of one's skin.In a sense the United States as a whole is dwelling on its problems!
It's not surprising racism has seen an uptick when you consider the divisive emphasis nowadays on the national DNA of America being slavery, not the proposition that "all men are created equal".
There is now the perception, especially on American college campus', that slavery was invented by, and is unique to, America. It is the country's original sin. They also have a tendency to believe all of slavery was ended by the civil war somehow.
Enemies of the West and liberty can use this historical ignorance to devalue it's culture and values, demoralise the population and make it's citizens less likely to want to defend individual autonomy and other liberal ideals. It will make them more gullible to the promise of another fatal, false utopia.
