If you could go back in time and hang out with one deceased famous person...

...who would it be?

I would probably have a couple drinks with Mark Twain, I feel like he'd understand a lot of my issues with today's society. Although it might be a little frustrating having to explain all of the technology in 2017 and the impact it has on our lives.

Either him or Dead, the former vocalist of the Norwegian black metal band Mayhem. Just to gain insight into the kind of person he really was and to be able to experience that whole music scene directly.

I'm not sure. It would have to be a progressive thinker for their time. I would love to hear their reactions and thoughts of who people from our time now think. But again, I'm not to sure who this person would be.

Really? You know that person (Whom ever they may have be?) would be like Ted Bundy today. Doen'tsound like the person I'd want to meet.

Oh I know. But, if I could go back in time and actually SEE him, I would be the only person who would know who he was... it drives me insane that no one will ever know who he was!

Ya know! If Ted Bundy hadn't made that mistake in Colorado. No body would've known who he really was and more than likely would've become governor of Washington state.

I remember watching a movie about Ted Bundy. Although killers are abhorrent, I find them endlessly fascinating... what makes them think like that? What does it take for someone to take a life, enjoy that act and carry on as normal? Its pretty crazy.

Mark Twain sounds wonderful.

Also, Voltaire, Mary Shelley, and one of my favorite authors, John D. MacDonald.

I'd be interested to know what Jesus would make of how his name is used as an excuse for war and death. If he was real, of course.

From his quote :
I came not to bring peace, butto bring a sword" is one of Jesus' most controversial statements because its meaning has many interpretations. The immediate context is the entire verse of Matthew 10:34, "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send [or bring] peace, but a sword."

He'd probably say 'in your face'

But now you've got a tea party... Jesus, ted bundy, your mother perhaps?

My great-great uncle, who claimed to be psychic and if half of the stories my grandfather told me are true, he probably was. He and my grandfather where good friends and my grand-dad said that he often had a sudden impulse to go and hang out with my uncle, only to go to the door and find him standing there. Other stories include him guessing what people are going to say before they say it, predicting people coming to talk to them and a few times even actually manipulating people. The strangest story that my grand-dad told me was about when he, his, my great great uncle and two other friends were sitting on the side of the road when a group of girls around their age walked past. My uncle said, "Do you want those girls to come back and say hello to us?" And my grandfather and his friends all laughed and said yes. Then the girls turned around, walked back to them and said hello, then they all acted really surprised like they were trying to work why they had turned back. They left after that and no-one questioned my uncles abilities. The strangest thing was that my grandfather, his brother and one of the friends both swore that the story happened when I met them the other year.
I would have loved to meet him, but he died when my dad was still a teenager and now my grandfather is so old he has trouble remembering anything else about him.

My late former Karate instructor, just so I could apologise to his face for that time I called him a git on Facebook :(

Sadly the poor bloke died in December 2015.

There is evidence that Jack the Ripper had some surgical skills. He often removed organs and body parts from his victims. As I recall, he neatly removed the breasts and some other body parts of his last victim and laid them out neatly on a nearby table. He also sent an ear to the police inspector working his case along with a note stating that he had fried and eaten the other ear. At one point a deranged doctor was arrested in London and the Ripper killings mysteriously stopped.
Anyway, I would elect to spend a day with Gandhi.
