If you were the last human....

If you were the last human on Earth and had an unlimited amount of time to explore, learn, and create without depleting any natural resources or having the ability to die...would you eventually go insane from boredom?

Oh yes. I'm trying to imagine what it would be like to survive the heat death of the universe.

There's a lot of conditions attached to that. However, I certainly wouldn't go insane from boredom, that's for sure. Every waking moment fixed upon survival for eternity, hmmm. No one to help you, except for perhaps animal companions, hmmm. A lot to imagine, but boredom? No. Not my brain.

At that point I would hope to have an interstellar fusion ramjet to check out the supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy.

When you say last human, does that mean there are still animals around? That would help a lot with the loneliness.

Seriously, humans are morons, and the only difference between us and intellectually disabled chimpanzees is that we have less hair. We should have gone extinct about 3000 years ago.

Yes, and let the animals thrive. I hate how humans get the upper hand and animals come second despite animal rights campaigns.
I'm a serious animal lover lol.

If I knew I was the last surviving human, I wouldn't want to live. I wouldn't see a point in exploring or survival because for me, the loneliness would be instant and crushing. Personally, I need other humans in my life. I have zero interest in living 100% alone forever, and in this scenario I'd rather die as quickly as possible myself, rather than prolong what would for me be total emotional horror.

Also I do realise this topic is supposed to be fun, so sorry for being a downer haha.

Honestly I think I would get lonely for affection and love.
Even after about a week

Yes humans drive you crazy.
At times they are loveable, at other times you want to go in the other direction screaming
Animals are mostly adorable and honestly are mostly more comforting and understanding except for the mean animals.

But we did invent pizza and chocolate cake. So it's not all bad. :)

Cold

I would not be bored. I would finally be able to learn about everything around me without being distracted

@MMPATT01 In the scenario you describe, what would happen if the last person on earth purposely jumped off cliffs, buildings, etc? Would they get hurt?
