I'm afraid of the World

Talking about the news over here.
I don't want to make anyone as anxious as I am right now, so read it with precaution.

I have realized that everything is getting very weird. A few recent facts:
-Malaysian Airlines' MH370 mysteriously disappears, no one could find;
-Planes crashing and falling everyday;
-People dying in the weirdest ways;
-Mysterious holes appearing in Siberia;
-Lotto numbers were 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 37

There's also a lot of coincidences happening to me and people I know, from the smallest things to big things and even tragic things. Are coincidences happening to you guys? What the heck does that mean?

Honestly, I believe you're overthinking this a little. I believe patterns exist but this is hardly anything to elicit any anxiety over.

There are tragedies going on all over the world, but not because of coincidence or anything like that.

I had noticed the odd number of airline-related incidents lately. I was actually recently discussing that with a friend (who, I suspect, is very much an Aspie, as well as being a diagnosed schizophrenic - my point is, we seem to notice that stuff).

I hadn't heard about the holes in Siberia, though. I'm on my way to bed in a few, so I'll google it tomorrow, but it sounds freaky. Brings to mind all kinds of weird stories about what lurks under the earth (I know,probably just magma and rock and the like, but I'm fascinated with the supernatural and the idea of undiscovered, terrestrial life forms).

I look at it this way: on any given day, day after day, the vast majority of individuals on the planet had a mediocre, okay, not so bad, live-to-see-another-day day. Then the next day comes and, again, most all of them really had an okay day. Again. And again. It goes on this way. Sure, there are the occasional really bad days with actual horrible happenings happening to or immediately around a person. But in reality, objectively, isn't some 99% of life kinda okay or good? Or good enough? If we live heavily seated (mentally) in our thoughts about days that are not the current days and places that are not our current place, we can have an illusion of doom for sure.
